Institucionalidad Laboral y Desempeño Económico: Evidencia Internacional y Aplicaciones al Caso de la Reforma Laboral en Chile

In this study, the authors note that international evidence reveals a close relationship between economic performance and the employment institutional framework, specially regarding collective bargaining structures. Hence, countries where that negotiation is very decentralized (i.e. where it is done primarily at the corporate level) or is very centralized will have a better economic performance than those with semi-centralized collective bargaining structures.
